Teacher's Day - Trip Down My Memory Lane :)

On 4th September evening my kids designed their own greeting card for their teachers. I was so happy watching them customizing it for each teachers.

On 5th September Teachers Day i decided to surprise my mam along with two more friends who stayed in Chennai. I told my plan to my husband, he said he'll take care of kids. I prepared dinner early evening for them and left home. It was an hour journey to her house. Since i was traveling alone and excited to meet her after a long gap my memory lane got down to the days in my school and college The days how i was pampered, advised, guided and scolded from my teachers when i was a kid. I remembered many many incidents with few teachers which made my eyes wet. Thought to pen down about few teachers who still gives me goosebumps when i think of them.

English Teacher - Mrs Sheeba Daniel

(Senior Students are asked to wear saree on teachers day)

Mrs Sheeba Daniel, English Teacher from my 8th grade in school. Though i lost contact of her after i left my school but her memories flashes often. The first female other than my mom whom i found so beautiful to my eyes. Her accent, pronunciation, way of delivery makes me struck to the lessons or poems which she teaches. She gives us best general advise on how to be and as per our request she sang two songs for us on last day of our school. One is "Konji Konji Pesi Mathimayakum..." and the other one is "Vennilavey Vennilavey Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya..." which still lingers in my ears. I wish i could wish her on her b'day in person every November 11th :)

Tuition Teacher - Mrs Kameswari

Click on our surprise visit on 5th Sep 2018)

I call her "Miss" instead of "Mam" and i still prefer calling her "Miss" even though my kids give me weird look when i call so. Its not about learning academics in her home(i cant call it as tuition center its like a second home to me). I can anytime go to her house and she never asks me why i am there that time. I dont know when i started going to her home but until i finishes my school life i was there for the tuition. Though they are orthodox family they never mind me or my friends accessing all rooms of their home. They had PG for foreign guests so we had opportunity to interact with them know their culture, food, lifestyle etc. Its a place where i learned communication, confidence, decision making and much more life skills. When i don't listen to my parents, my parents calls her straight away, as they know i take only advise from her. She is always a part of our family :)

Programming Teacher - Mrs Kanagavalli

Pic : Me with Mrs Kanagavalli Mam
(Since my friends and me wore same model saree we bought a camera to click us and i used the opportunity to capture it with my favorite mam)

The first teacher who came to our class when i did my UG degree. It was our first day in class, after formal introduction she started with 'C' Programming. She gave us simple program to solve. She later handled Java for us. She instantly clears all doubt put forth. Her astonishing knowledge in programming and her way of delivering to us inspired me a lot to do more. Because of her constant encouragement i won many prizes in inter college symposium, debugging competition and programming competition. Her part was major for me in being a gold medalist.

I thank all my School, UG, PG, Certification Course Teachers who were along my side, encouraged my strength, pointed out my weakness, molded me to what i am now.

How to get free youtube subscribers - Part 1

If you have a new YouTube channel or an unfamiliar channel, keep the traffic rolling in an organic way. Don’t go with shortcuts or hacking, most of the hacking videos are made for prank. Don’t waste time in those, instead share your video with your friends and groups(Facebook/Whatsapp etc).
  • 1.       Share with your known groups
  • 2.       Find your traffic(where your post gets more reach, location and age)
  • 3.       Continue sharing with the targeted audience.

Don’t shy away sharing with your friends. Keep track of your traffic statistics and build a plan to promote your channel. Share your videos based on the targeted audience and you can see organic subscribers and traffic starts flowing in.

**Organic subscribers will always be there to support your videos/post. Gaining organic subscribers might be slow but for sure a steady process.

Happy YouTubing :)

Breaking Stereotypes

It is an unwritten rule in my native temple(Arul Migu Subramania Swamy Thiru Kovil Mylappapuram) that women are not encouraged to go behind Thaer(Temple Cars) which starts at late evening from temple goes around many small villages and returns back early morning(next day) to temple.

During my childhood I was so eager to go along with Thaer but I am not encouraged to do so. Two years back I was so stubborn inside me to go along with Thaer, with no permission from anyone I literally eloped with the thaer(I just waved bye to my mom who was speechless of my action, I didn’t give her time to think).

The journey was full of walking throughout night. We walked miles and miles, tired and exhausted but I was stunned by the people’s hospitality in all villages. Many houses are ready with snacks, coffee, cool drinks and buttermilk, they provided to the people who walk along with thaer and also their neighbors. Whenever and wherever I felt thirsty I was offered water by someone no matter what time it was. People are so friendly and welcoming in all villages that we crossed. I felt safe and happy to be the first women who broke the stereotype.

I was eagerly waiting for the next year festival but unfortunately due to some personal difficulties I couldn’t attend the festival last year. This year few women asked me whether I would be participating in the walk. I was so proud to see so many women are interested after I initiated it. This year around 10 women and girls joined the thaer. I could see strong women walking forward with pride.

Elephant Rope

A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp, and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept in cages or held by the use of chains. All that was holding them back from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.

As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead they didn’t try to at all.

Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape.

The trainer replied; The only reason that the elephants weren’t breaking free and escaping from the camp was because over time they adopted the belief that it just wasn’t possible.

Moral of the story: No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.

You are the Best..

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 bill to one of you - but first, let me do this.”He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked “who still wants it”?” Still the hands were up in the air.“Well, “he replied, “what if I do this?” He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?”
Still the hands went in the air.

“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of your lives come not in what we do or who we know, but by… WHO WE ARE!”

Facebook Motivates

I had a video to get uploaded 10 days. Since I was in vacation and non availability of internet I thought I could upload it on the day I return back to Chennai(28th May).😅 But I couldn’t edit my video due to tight schedule in mom’s place. 😮

And after returning back I was not keeping well – cold🤧, cough🤮, body ache🤕, fever🤒 are worsening day by day.

Today Morning when I opened my facebook, a memory popped up🤩. YAY!! I completed 4 years in Kitchenette as a food blogger. 💁

It was really boosting me up, with some unknown internal strength I edited the video and uploaded in my website as well in youtube. 👩‍💻

I am so happy that I could post a video on my Kitchenette Anniversary and by coincidence it is a sweet 😋and kids special recipe👫. As I always believe “Everything happens for a reason” it all happened for a reason.♥️

Know who you are

Today my elder one Albrain (10 years old) came over and asked me on how to handle if friends and cousins boast seeing cartoons/TV shows and mock if he doesn't know any.🤐

Basically he doesn't watch TV programs, he would watch selective shows if he have time and it is mostly related to space🚀, science🛰️ and puzzles. That's the reason he doesn't fit into common groups.
He was so upset of being mocked for not watching a TV serial. 🤯

I convinced him saying that if they ask you whether you watched this or that 🙇(which anyone can watch)? Just ask them back whether they solved puzzle in chess or challenge them with a mathematical sum(which only few interested kids can do). I added if you are again bullied by the same person or trying to put you down, then the  person is not fit to be with you...Just let go and move on. He is somewhat convinced and continued his work.😎

I don't know whether I handled in right way.🤷 Now, I am curious to know how you convince your kid when they are down? 🤗

Chin up Queen!!

Mrs Kamala Rao - Opportunity in Beauty consultant/Grooming

Few days before I met this beautiful women🙎 in a women entrepreneur lunch meet(W2BW) who looked early 40’s but naahhh!!! She is 59!!!(Next month she completes 59!!!). Look at her, Can u believe that? Talking to her further,  puts me in wow😍.  She got what she dreamt off at the age of 49 yeahhh did u hear that? 49 :) As a pampered child her interest in dressing up never went down even when she had her other interest in dancing and oration.

After her marriage due to her personal responsibilities she lost interest in grooming herself but instead she concentrated in teaching kids which lasted for 12 years. In mean time she tried her hands in garments, jewelry sales and online jobs, however she found financial independence and recognition was still missing.

At the age of 49 she pursued what she missed those years, yes she got an offer to work as a Business Development Manager🙋 for a Chennai based Cosmetics Manufacturing Company. Since then she is been conducting training and grooming Sessions to Corporates, Housewives, Beauticians and the contestants of Mrs. Chennai Beauty Pageant.

Her journey was not definitely a bed of roses. She peeped out of her 45 years sheltered life, marching forward along with her dreams and empowering other women😇. Now she is able to take care of her dependent parents-in-law, gift a car to her husband, gift jewelries to her daughter-in-law, financially support her younger son higher studies and take care of her professional growth.
You can check out her website http://kamalarao.com/ and get in touch with her to join her seminars and online training😎.

She always says “If You Believe in yourself and in your Dreams, It’s Never Too Late To Reach Out to The Stars!”. Now its your turn to chase your dream and catch up a star :)⭐
